About Rod Mickley Interiors
Rod Mickley is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and a two-time recipient of the prestigious Merrill-Milai-Stanley scholarship. Rod’s design work spanning over three decades has been featured in many local, regional, national, and international magazines: Luxury Florida Homes, Florida Architecture, Coastal Living, Canadian House & Home, Southern Living, and Florida Design, to name a few. Most notably, his work was also featured twice in the prestigious Andrew Martin Interior Design Review, Featuring The World’s Leading Designers, often described as “The Oscars of the Interior Design World.”
This leading Vero Beach-based designer has been drawing inspiration from his coastal environs, creating fresh spaces with casual fabrics and comfortable furnishings since 1980. Rod prides himself on his ability to interpret his client’s vision, taste, and lifestyle, and translate that into an appealing and functional reality. Each design project is a unique statement respecting the owner, as well as the architectural integrity of the residence or commercial space. His attention to scale, color, detail, and function is an integral component of his designs.
Lyra Mickley is Co-President at Rod Mickley Interiors. She earned her BS from West Virginia Wesleyan College, an AA from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and she is a licensed interior designer. She has worked for architectural firms as an independent, and has many successful commercial design projects to her credit.
